Calling the counselor directly is the fastest and most convenient way to get an appointment scheduled. This is the only counseling center authorized to provide HECM counseling in the City of Denver but you can also find many other counselors in the Denver Metro Area. Although phone counseling has become very popular these days, if you live in Denver, we encourage you to meet with the counselor face to face.

Certificate of Completion
As soon as your counseling is complete, the counselor will issue a certificate that will need to be signed and provided to your lender of choice. You may sign loan documents prior to the counseling course but 3rd party services such as an appraisal may not be ordered until counseling is completed.
Why Do I Need Counseling?
Counseling is designed to make sure the homeowner has a clear understanding of how the HECM program works. It is also a great opportunity to revisit some of the loan expectations that the homeowner discussed with their lender. The counseling center is a government approved agency that is there to protect consumers from predatory lending and misleading sales tactics.
